Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Lip Tar: Ophelia (Review/Swatches)

Sephora.com's description:

"basic lady-like pink"

"A high-opacity lipstick concentrate with unprecedented longevity. Flash a fabulous smile and a stunning splash of color with this lip formula that combines the longevity of a lipstick with the breezy application of a gloss. The rich pigment will drench your pout and the blend of essential oils, including hemp and peppermint, will soothe and soften the skin for a supremely comfortable finish. For easy travel and application, each Lip Tar comes with a vinyl carrying case and mini lip brush.
It is formulated WITHOUT parabens, and does not contain petroleum or silicone and is 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free."

My thoughts:

Even though the description above says "longevity of a lipstick with a breezy application of a gloss," I disagree. You definitely need a brush (I used the Real Techniques Pixel Point Eyeliner Brush) to apply OCC's Lip Tars. You also need a mirror because the pigmentation of these is just SO rich. It is true though, that these do last a very long time. Even while eating, drinking, and talking, these remain on my lips for several hours, unlike traditional lip sticks or glosses. But it really does depend on what you're doing for how long it'll stay on. These also have a slight minty taste/feel. So if you don't like that, you might want to steer clear of these.
